Short version: GuideNow uses browser localStorage for anonymous session management, and Google Analytics cookies to understand aggregate site usage. You can block or clear these at any time and the site keeps working. Third-party services (Stripe, Cloudflare) may set their own strictly-necessary cookies.

1. Do We Use Cookies?

Yes, in two ways:

localStorage — a browser storage mechanism (not a cookie) that holds an anonymous session ID so your AI conversation persists if you close and reopen the page. It is never sent to third parties, never synced across browsers, and never linked to your identity.

Google Analytics cookies — we use Google Analytics (GA4) to see aggregate usage: which pages are visited, from which countries, on what devices. Google sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_* for this. Analytics is not used for advertising or remarketing, and you can opt out (section 4).

3. Third-Party Cookies

The following third-party services may set cookies when you interact with GuideNow:

Google Analytics

Aggregate web analytics (GA4). Sets _ga cookies to distinguish visitors. Not used for advertising. Opt out via browser settings or Google's opt-out add-on (section 4).

Stripe

Payment processing. Stripe sets fraud-prevention cookies when you initiate a checkout. These are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled.

Cloudflare Turnstile

Bot verification. Cloudflare may set a session cookie to verify you are human. This is strictly necessary for service security.

Vercel

Hosting infrastructure. Vercel does not set cookies by default but may log request metadata for performance analytics.

4. How to Opt Out or Clear Storage

Analytics is optional — the site works fully without it. To opt out of Google Analytics, block cookies for this site in your browser, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

You can clear GuideNow session data and cookies at any time:

·Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Site data
·Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
·Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data

Clearing site data will reset your session counter and any active AI conversation.

5. We Do Not Use

✗Facebook Pixel or other social tracking
✗Remarketing or ad targeting cookies
✗Cross-site tracking or advertising profiling of any kind

6. Changes

We will update this page if our use of cookies or storage changes. Check the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
